Sheila Marcelo is the founder, chairwoman, and CEO of Care.com, the world’s largest online destination for finding and managing family care. She was a management consultant and a teaching fellow at Harvard Business School, vice president of product management and marketing of Upromise, the vice president and general manager of TheLadders.com, and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Matrix Partners. Sheila has been honored as one of the Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in 2009 and in Fortune magazine in 2014. She became the youngest recipient of the lifetime award by Harvard Business School, the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award in 2014, and was bestowed the Filipino Heritage Award or Pamana ng Pilipino from former Philippine President Benigno Aquino III. Sheila also is a Henry Crown Fellow with the Aspen Institute, was awarded a Marshall Memorial Fellowship and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She sits on the Board of the Philippine Development Foundation, the Advisory Board for the Harvard Business School Rock 100 Entrepreneurs Summit, and is an adviser to several startup companies. Sheila graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College, which also conferred upon her an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters in 2015. She earned her JD and MBA degrees with honors and the Dean’s Award from Harvard University.
